will bci2000 calculate a differential for bipolar data?

Post by lbhelou » 19 Jun 2011, 21:42

I want to collect bipolar data, and know that I should set this up using the BipolarChList settings. I'm not very familiar with what output to expect, though. With bipolar data collection, will a differential automatically show up on one of the channels? That is, if I indicate that I'm collecting bipolar data in bci2000, and Channel 1 = Electrode 1 and Channel 2 = Electrode 2, then will one of these channels actually reflect the differential of the two? Or do I need to calculate that offline, mathematically?

Which Source module/amplifier are you using?
