Tests Failing on Ubuntu 12.10

Post by MaxG » 22 Apr 2013, 18:17

Hi all,
I try to get BCI2000 running on Ubuntu 12.10.
Despite the python problem I opened the other thread for, compiling works fine.
Unfortunately, the tests are failing awfully. It follows the end of my P3SpellerS001R01.dat_Results.txt:

Code: Select all

...
Difference: signal value "32767" should be "86".
Difference: signal value "-32768" should be "-176".
Difference: signal value "32767" should be "121".
Difference: signal value "-32768" should be "-389".
------------------------------------------
Number of Differences: 22388
Number of Significant Differences: 22388
This is representative. For this file, 22016 out of 22393 lines contain either 32767 or 32768.
The other *Result files look the same.

How can this be fixed?

sincerely,
Max

Hi,

I'm getting additional issues on a 32-bit Ubuntu system, so you might consider checking out the source code corresponding to the 3.0.5 binary release, as suggested on the BCI2000 wiki.

The source code corresponding to v3.0.5 does not pass the tests neither. The result files look like those above.
Furthermore, the version from the one branch does not compile and the BCI2000src.txz file freezes the computer upon executing TestExecutables.bat. However, the version in BCI2000src.txz at least compiled without further fiddling with the source.

Is there anything else that can be tried? Note that using Wine is not an option since my midterm goal is to write an own decoder.

Hi,

the Ubuntu problems will be fixed before the next binary release, which is overdue already.
So, in the mid-term, you should be able to run BCI2000 natively on Ubuntu.
