Hopefully this isn't a silly question...

In my work on an old (BCI2000 version 1.0) system, I keep running into files that are named as variants of "D2Box." I believe some of the custom applications modules I have found are derived from it.

I see many mentions of D2Box here on the forums, but nothing later than 2008. I find nothing in the wiki referring to D2Box, other than a mention here: ( http://www.bci2000.org/wiki/index.php/M ... s_Tutorial ), but the "section D2Box Application States" doesn't seem to exist. I also don't see it in the contributions. This leads me to think that D2Box is perhaps an application module that was discontinued, possibly being replaced by something like CursorTask. But when I explore an old version of BCI2000 (v1.4 I believe), I find CursorTask, but no D2Box.

What is D2Box, and is it compatible with the current version of BCI2000?

The D2Box functionality of BCI2000 v1.x can now be realized using the CursorTask of BCI2000 v2.x or v3.x.

At the moment, I am stuck running BCI2000 version 1.0 for this particular project (until I can update some custom modules for the current version). So I am using a few variants of D2Box.

Is it possible to set a specific sequence of targets in BCI2000 version 1.0? I know that I can set the Target Sequence parameter (or leave blank for random) in current versions, but I don't see anything like that in 1.0. By default, it seems to present targets in a random order, and my attempt to mimic the "TargetSequence" parameter in a version 1.0 parameter file didn't work.

Of course I understand if you would rather not support old versions, and just refer me to CursorTask.

The D2Box task of BCI2000 v1.0 could only present targets in a block-randomized fashion, i.e., you cannot use a predefined sequence unless you use v2.0 or you change the D2Box code. All earlier BCI2000 versions, including the D2Box code, are still available on SVN.

The D3Box task from v1.4 is quite similar to the D2Box task of your 1.x version.
