Getting started

Post by mpheuvel » 17 Aug 2004, 08:16

As a beginning BCI2000 user, I have some startup problems. First of all, when I have run the BCI2000 stetup.exe, I do not know which of the prog-files I have to run to start the BCI2000. If I use one of the batchfiles (for instance the RandomNumber batch), I do not get all the tab menus, described in the BCI2000manual.pdf. Second of all, the parms folder does not contain all the prm files summed up in the manual.

Is there anyone, who has a solution for my starting problems? Maybe there is someone who has a step-by-step manual.

Yours Sincerely,
Martijn van den Heuvel

I suggest to first read the BCI2000 article and the Project Outline that are in the Downloads section of this website. These documents will tell you a lot about the general concepts behind BCI2000.

One of these concepts is that BCI2000 consists of four modules. Depending on which modules are started (as defined by the different batch files), you will find different parameters in the Config menu. For example, the P300 modules will have different parameters than the 2D mu-rhythm control modules.

You should be able to use a particular batch file and the corresponding parameter file to get the system up and running.

I hope this helps. Please post more questions as they arise.

Disilvapattahk,

You did not attach anything, however I assume that you did not install the service pack 1 for Visual Studio 2010:

If this does not fix your issue, please let us know your CMake version that you use.
