hi all
we have a problem with generating classifier weights when we use BCI2000 in combination with brainproducts amp.
before, we tried bci2000 for P300 speller with emotiv, and we managed to generate some weights out of it. not very exciting results yet, so we redid the experiment with the brainproduct s amplifier. However, although we only changed the driver and reconfigured BCI2000 (number of channels is different), when we do the classifier weights estimation, it gives the error: "unable to generate classifier weights". Or the data is corrupted (but we can load it in matlab and it looks fine), or the settings are wrong (but there are so few settings and all are similar as with emotiv setup).
The other thing what is unclear to us, is why we have to add in BCI2000 configuration 1 extra channel for brainproducts amp.
Any suggestion how we can solve the error?
thanks a lot

Re: unable to generate classifier weights
if you need any screenshots or maybe the data itself please let us know. Thank you!

Hi,

Juergen
With more channels, classifier training requires more data points. You can either record more training data, or exclude the additional channels from the list of channels on the P300Classifier's parameters page.(number of channels is different), when we do the classifier weights estimation, it gives the error: "unable to generate classifier weights"
The additional channel contains marker data sent by the BrainProducts amplifier. You can just exclude it from the list of channels on the P300Classifier parameters page. The other thing what is unclear to us, is why we have to add in BCI2000 configuration 1 extra channel for brainproducts amp.

Re: unable to generate classifier weights
Hello Jürgen
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunatly we still have error messages within the P300 classifier. It seems so that it has somthing to do with the configuration of the filtering tab in BCI2000. As said before we're using a BrainAmp DC amp at the moment.
Maybe someone can give us a proper working .prm-file to see how we have to setup our brainamp batch-file correctly?
Thanks so far!
Markus

Re: unable to generate classifier weights
It would be helpful to know the exact wording of those error messages.Unfortunatly we still have error messages within the P300 classifier.
