Periodicity in BCI 2000 109 subject data set

Hello,
We are using the 109 subject BCI 2000 data set to test some machine learning and data analysis approaches and very much appreciate that you have made them available.

In looking at the data, we have noticed that the data seems to have a periodic blip in all channels with a period of approximately 1 second. Can you tell us what this is? Do you have a way of removing it?

Do you see this "blip" across all subjects/datasets?
