Before proceeding to 2D cursor movement, first establish 1D cursor movement using two different signals, e.g. 18Hz@C3+18Hz@C4, and 20Hz@Cz (frequencies are arbitrarily chosen for the example, and must be obtained from 1D analysis, electrodes correspond to both hands vs rest and feet vs rest).
Once your subject is able to control the cursor with each of these signals in 1D, you can move to 2D by associating the first signal with vertical movement, and the second signal with horizontal movement. Then, instruct your subject to use feet imagination to control the cursor horizontally, and hand movement imagination to control it vertically.
