BCI2000 with g.USBAMP

Post by jane1985 » 05 Jan 2011, 23:38

Dear all,
I am a new user. I have some problems when configure BCI2000 with g.usbamp. I follow the "Obtaining Mu Rhythm Parameters in an Initial Session User Tutorial".
1 Does the screen resolution affect the result? My screen resolution is 1280by800 pixels. not 1024*768, is it ok?
2 when I configure all, SourceCh=8, SourceChDevices=16, then click set configure occurs
Warning: gUSBampADC::Preflight: g.USBamp driver version = 2.
gUSBampADC::Preflight: # total channels (16) has to equal sum of all channels over all devices. If the digital input is turned on, you have to take this into account.
when I set SourceCh=8, SourceChDevices=8,
then appears
Warning: gUSBampADC::Preflight: g.USBamp driver version = 2.
gUSBampADC::Preflight: Could not detect any amplifier. Make sure there is a single gUSBamp amplifier connected to your system, and switched on.
I don't know why. My gUSBamp.dll version 1.0.0.1. is it ok for use? . Please help me. look forward to your reply. Thanks!

Hi Jane,

1) the application screen resolution in BCI2000 should be set to the screen resolution of the monitor visible to your subject. Set the WindowWidth and WindowHeight parameters to the screen's height and width, and the WindowLeft and WindowTop parameters to its position (usually 0, 0).

2) If you got the gUSBamp.dll with your amplifier, it should be ok. If you got it somewhere else, please remove or rename it; there should be a current version of the DLL be installed by the driver installer coming with your amplifier (this DLL resides below your Windows directory).
Also, make sure that your amplifier's USB cable is firmly connected, and that the power light at the amplifier is on. Maybe it also helps to switch the amplifier on and off when the second message is displayed, and to press SetConfig again.

Jane,

Are you using the g.USBamp fragment? Are the DeviceID parameters set to Auto? Did you check the parameterization of the Source parameters relative to the wiki/book instructions?

This should work out of the box, so I am a little surprised. Do you load all parameter files as described? Did you make any modifications?
