bci2000certification

What is the status on the bci2000 certification program? The .exe and the wiki are clearly written for very different versions. I just checked out the most recent source code, and there's now some sort of GUI which appears to ignore the .ini files and require you to hand-define each task... admittedly you can load parameter files with a little work, but the global source button doesn't work (nor do some of the others in the GUI).

The binary downloads seem to require a certain version of Borland to be installed (running the .exe fails with "can't find _____.dll" errors).

The wiki also mentions soldering a connector for one of the digital inputs on the amp, but never says what it should be plugged into.

Is there a revision which I could use that matches the documentation? Or could someone update the documentation?

I am the author of the program. The documentation definitely needs updating. I am working on writing my dissertation and defending in the next few weeks, so I am not sure that I have time to devote to this right now. Everything does work right now, since it is going into my thesis, but it really needs to be organized into a single coherent package, i.e., I know how to use it, but I'm not sure if anyone else could right now. So, after I defend, or possibly even next week after I am finished writing, I can organize all of this into something other people can use.

I appreciate the quick reply. If it's at all possible to write up a quick draft (even if it's not ready for the wiki yet) at some point in the next two weeks, that would be great. We bought a computer and we'd like to certify it before the return period runs out... we're hoping to buy several more like it.

Is there a working version of the certification program?

The current binaries crash with a "missing stlpmt45.dll" error (confirmed on two computers).

The current source crashes with a "P3SpellerTask::Initialize: unhandled exception EInvalidOp, terminating Application module" and "SignalSource: Application dropped connection unexpectedly" (two computers).

Now, both computers are still using the drivers for a g.USBamp v2 (as opposed to the v3 that just came out), mainly because we have only v2 amps. So that could be part of the issue (there is a preflight warning about that).

Is there a known-good version of the certification program?

I am in China until next week, but at that point I will send you a working version. We are almost finished wrapping up version 3 of BCI2000, and the certification program has been updated extensively since V2. I will put something together for you once I am sure that it is working correctly.
