prm file

Post by saimrasheed » 09 Jul 2009, 09:28

Hi,

I am new at BCI2000. I have just started working with BCI2000. I am using gtec's g.MOBIlab+ device. While looking in the directory, parms\fragments\amplifier, I can see gMOBIlab.prm but no file like gMOBIlabPlus.prm. When I select gMOBIlab.prm while loading parameters, it gives the following messge.
"7/9/2009 2:59:47 PM - gMOBIlabADC::Initialize: Could not initialize device." even my device is connected to COM5. Should there be any file 'gMOBIlabPlus.prm' in 'amplifier' directory(may be missing). Any idea please?

Where as in the 'batch' directory there are both files, for example, 'StimulusPresentation_gMOBIlab.bat' and 'StimulusPresentation_gMOBIlabPlus.bat'. When I double click 'StimulusPresentation_gMOBIlabPlus.bat' file it gives the following error message "The application or DLL ...\prog\GMOBILABPLUS.DLL is not a valid Windows image." with a title 'gMOBIlabPlus.exe - Bad Image'. Operator window appears but do not enable any botton. I am using windows XP. Any idea Please ? Thanks

Hello,
It appears that you are trying to use the gMOBIlab+ with the gMOBIlab program (since it says "gMOBIlabADC::Initialize ..."). When you use the gMOBIlabPlusADC program, it should work correctly, once we figure out the problem with the dll. I will check into the problem with the dll, and get back to you soon. The parameter file examples for the gMOBIlab should also work fine for the gMOBIlab+, once we get this problem fixed.

Hello again,
Unfortunately, I am unable to replicate your errors:
"The application or DLL ...\prog\GMOBILABPLUS.DLL is not a valid Windows image." When I clicked the StimulusPresentation_gMOBIlabPlus.bat file, everything started without an error for me.

Did you download the source code and compile BCI2000, or did you download the binary (pre-compiled) version?

Hi Adam,

Thankyou for your time. Few days ago, it was doing problem but today it started working fine :o with out any truble shooting.
I have downloaded the executables and by double clicking the 'BCI2000Setup.exe' file, I have installed it and it has self extracted some directories as follows. 'batch', 'data', 'doc', 'parms', 'prog' and 'tools'.
Still I am exploring what maximum I can do with these directories.

Saim,

I am glad you got BCI2000 to run. Make sure you check out doc.bci2000.org, which has quite some introductory and also advanced material on BCI2000.
