MonlithEEG /Modular EEG

Post by abahmer » 12 May 2009, 06:24

hi,
I am using a MonolithEEG (same as ModularEEG, but based on SMD). A rectangular test signal is provided with this device 14 Hz 5 Volt. The screen of the BCI 2000 shows signals on 4 channels (although the modularEEG contains only 2 channels) but the do not replicate the original - sometimes the signal is skipped. The protocol is set to P2.
I would like to run with the MonolithEEG the P300 speller.

OpenEEG

Hi,

There are several possibilities. One is that the OpenEEG protocol changed since the BCI2000 Source module was written, in which case you would actually have to change the source code.

I would begin by trying to set the number of channels in BCI2000 to 2. You will also have to shorten each of the lists SourceChGain and SourceChOffset to 2 values. Also, set TransmitChList to "1 2 1 2." (without quotes and period). Each of these parameters is described on doc.bci2000.org or in the BCI2000 Help.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

thank you for your reply. I have already sent an email to chris veigl. rainer münch (who has developed the monolithEEG) told me to do so. the protocol in brainbay and elecguru works fine.

up to now it is not possible to change the channel number to 2 (already discussed in another post), otherwise you receive an error message. only 6 is possible.

rainer münch proposed that the framework start may be not recognized properly.

hi gerv,
chris replied and asked if the BCI2000 has changed. The screenshot of the source preferences in his diploma thesis looks different. It seems to him that the channel data come into the BCI but some data is skipped.
