gUSBAmp Problems connecting to BCI2000

Post by rishannp » 29 May 2024, 18:19

Hi All,

Noob here with BCI2000, Got my g.USBAmp recently and having some trouble getting the usbamp to be recognised.
I go straight through the BCI2000Launcher.exe on my Windows laptop. Downloaded BCI2000 v3.6.beta.R7385. I have the drivers installed for the usbamp on the laptop as the g.recorder software works when trying to get data from g.tec suite. Below is the error, not sure what i'm doing wrong/how to get around this. Any help would be great!

64-bit Library "GUSBAMP" could not be loaded, but is necessary for gUSBampSource to run.
You may need to install the driver software that came with your amplifier. More information may be available at:
http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3ab ... rg+GUSBAMP.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

your amplifier came with a software package that you need to install. There is a gUSBamp Demo program from gtec which you can use to test your amplifier. If you are able to run that program, you will be able to use the gUSBamp with BCI2000 as well.

Hi Mellinger,

Thanks for the quick response. The software package we got is the g.tec Suite 2020. Within that, I am not sure what the demo program is and can't seem to find any obvious demo besides the g.recorder program which allows me to connect to my USBAmp and get data.

I assume because I can run the g.recorder successfully, that it should all be working. Do you have any idea why it could be messed up? As i said previously the error is:

"64-bit Library "GUSBAMP" could not be loaded, but is necessary for gUSBampSource to run.
You may need to install the driver software that came with your amplifier. More information may be available at:
http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3ab ... rg+GUSBAMP." I can't seem to find anyone else with this error

Thanks

Hi,

the message means that there should be a 64-bit gUSBamp.dll file in your Windows/System32 directory but it could not be found. I'm not sure whether the gtec software suite 2020 would install that.

Could it be that, by any chance, you installed the 32-bit version of the gtec software? If that is not the case, you might want to reach out to gtec and ask them for help regarding how to obtain a copy of gUSBamp.dll. You may then put that into Windows/System32, or into the BCI2000 prog directory.

Thank you for that info! I'll send off an email to g.tec and try locate that.

I'll let you know if It doesn't work!

Thanks!

Hi Farzam,

I did manage to solve it. I asked g.tec to send me a specific .dll file i needed and boom, all working!
