Synopsis

Apply a bandpass filter (FIR and/or IIR). Then use HilbertFilter to compute either the Hilbert envelope or the instantaneous Hilbert phase. Finally, if desired, take the unwrapped derivative of the phase to obtain $2\pi \times$ instantaneous frequency.
