Help (re)configuring a gUSBamp?
Posted: 06 May 2016, 14:01
Background: I'm a student on an internship working with a lab that's using the BCI2000 for some research. As part of this internship, I've inherited custody of the BCI2000 system, which uses the G-tec USB amplifier.
Currently the system runs on a 12-year-old junker of a laptop which cannot even connect to the internet. Everything works well on that system, but the system itself is terribly slow and horribly unkempt (as computer systems go). To top it off, the laptop battery is shot so we have to carry the power adapter around.
However, we also have a nice shiny new laptop that we use for running another piece of equipment. I've been trying to migrate the BCI2000 to be able to run on this machine, but I've run into a snag:
Essentially: the same program that works on one laptop will not work on the other. My guess is that I'm missing some sneaky piece of intermediate software, but I don't know what it is, and I really don't want to dumpster dive through the old laptop's cluttered file system to find what it might be.
Can anybody help?

The BCI2000 software on the old laptop is out of date, but I get this error whether I run the current version or the old one. The amplifier is, in fact, turned on, plugged in, and the drivers are installed (version 3.09a, from the CD that came with it).5/6/2016 1:51:42 PM - gUSBampADC::Preflight: Could not detect any amplifier. Make sure there is a single gUSBamp amplifier connected to your system, and switched on.
