The error is BCI2000 link to neuroscan

Post by lijing » 08 Apr 2021, 22:47

When I use the latest version of BCI2000 to connect to scan4.5, BCI2000 has been stuck in the state of requesting connection. But when I use the 3.03 version of BCI2000, it can connect normally. Signal source module is NeuroscanClient, signal processing module is DummySignalProcessing, application module is FeedbackDemo.

Hi,

what do you mean by "latest version"? A download from the BCI2000 website, or did you compile from source?

I've tried both. One download from BCI2000 wensite is BCI2000 Binary, another one download from SVN for compling.

Unfortunately, we don't have a Neuroscan amplifier nor the Scan4.3 software available to test.
We can do remote debugging, if you agree, using Google Remote Desktop. Let us know your location so we can pick a time that is convenient for both of us.

Sorry, it took so long to reply. I was anxious to carry out the experiment and used the old version of bci2000. I'm in China. You can choose a suitable time.

Is it 19:00, August 11, 2021 Beijing time?
About three hours later?

Yes, that is what I suggested. But we may start now if it fits you.

Our Google Remote Desktop code is 1994 0502 7716.
What happened? Was the connection accidentally disconnected?

On the Neuroscan site, I found a FAQ document (http://compumedicsneuroscan.com/wp-cont ... n-FAQs.pdf) that mentions Scan 4.5.1 hotfix 2 to be downloaded here:

Did you install Scan 4.5.1 hotfix 2? If not, does the problem persist after installing it?

I added a parameter RequestExtendedInformation which is off by default. So the issue should be solved for you.
Thank you for reporting.

After installing scan 4.5.1 hotfix 2, the problem still exists.
After updating bci2000, the problem is solved.
Thank you for your help.
