EEGO amplifier

I have been attempting to use the EEGO module that comes with with BCI v3.6 beta version. The module has a hard time finding the amplifier, successfully connecting maybe 2 out of 50 times. It seems to decide to connect randomly, and doesn't seem to care which USB port is used. I've tried restarting my computer, messing with parameter files and even looking through the source code to find a bug, but I can't seem to solve the problem.
