appropiate sampleblocksize (again)

Post by joanllo » 12 Nov 2015, 12:52

I want to reopen an old topic with the same subject.
We want to use 1024 Hz samplig rate on a SMR Motor Imagery neurofeedback training, so we want to record and process 8-15 Hz signals. What SBS we need to let the BCI2000 do the signal processing correctly? (with smooth feedback manner).

Joanllo,

set the SampleBlockSize parameter such that the SamplingRate / SampleBlockSize results in 20 updates per second. This will be perceived as smooth feedback. Please also check that your system is capable to process this without exceeding the time budget, which is indicated in the timing visualization [1].

Regards, Peter
