Data in each step of a Visuall P300 Speller

Post by bertocasta » 11 Jun 2015, 13:11

Hi,

I'm trying to perform an analysis of a P300 Visual Speller and I need to get some figures of the data. I've acces to raw data (files .dat created by the BCI2000 application). As long as I know, the processing steps are as follow:

*Spatial Filter (CAR or others)
*Dividing in epochs and averaging
*Classifcation

I need to get the data after the CAR Filter and the epochs aswell. Is there any way to acomplish this?

Thank you.

Regards, Alberto.

Alberto,

BCI2000 provides the Offline Analysis tool for this purpose [1]. Alternatively you can import the data into MATLAB using the load_bcidat mex interface [2], or into other programs using the ASCII files that the BCI2000Export tool creates [3].

Hi again, Peter,

I've tried to use all of these options.
[1] Offline Analysis only allows me to plot the r-squared value or target/non-target stimulus for a given channel and time interval.
[2] I've sucessfully loaded the XXXXXX.dat file. But at this point, no processing is done. I only have the raw data.
[3] Same as [2]

So what I pretend is to get the data after the CAR SpatialFilter but before epoching, after epoching but before classifying and after classifying.

Regards, Alberto.

Alberto,

try the BCI2000 P300 GUI that was bundled until v2.0 [1]. No guarantees that it will still work, but if you run that in MATLAB you have access to all intermediate steps.
