Inverse signals recorded in Micromed and BCI2000

Post by cbaratin » 07 Jul 2021, 05:22

Dear all,

I am setting up a BCI protocol using a Micromed acquisition system connected to a laptop running BCI2000 with the Fieldtrip buffer. The setup works fine; however, after having saved both the Micromed file (.trc) and the corresponding signal from BCI2000, I find that the BCI2000 signal corresponds to the inverse of the Micromed signal (-BCI2000 signal = Micromed signal). Any ideas on why this happens? Is there a configuration option I may have missed?

Thank you!

You might have a negative value entered for SourceChGain? Or, if not and this bothers you, you may enter a negative value there to align Micromed and BCI2000 signal orientation.
