Connecting Emotiv EEG device to BCI2000

Post by tshanno » 03 Aug 2016, 16:37

Hi,

I have been really struggling to find out how to connect an Emotiv EEG device while running the P300 speller task. I don't have any coding experience, so the forum posts are pretty confusing. It'd be amazing if someone could really break down the process for me.

Thank you so much!!

Best,
Tara

Tara,

please note that the Emotiv source module in BCI2000 only supports the original Emotiv EPOC headset. In addtion you will need to run the 32-bit version of BCI2000 as there are no 64-bit drivers for this device.

If you are using the newer models, e.g., the Emotiv EPOC+, you would need to implement a signal acquisition module using the Emotiv SDK Premium.

Without any coding experience this might be difficult to achieve.

Tara,

can you describe what you have done so far and where you are stuck? Also you will need the "Research Edition" of the Emotiv SDK, I forgot to mention that in the previous email. The regular version does not output the raw EEG signals.

So, is anyone able to get Emotiv EPOC+ working with BCI2000?
