Issues in Obtaining Mu Rhythm Parameters

Post by johntjm » 14 Mar 2011, 01:00

Dear Professors:

We are trying to use BCI2000 for 1D and 2D cursor control.

We are using a:
EEG :GRASS Model 15 Neurodata Amplifier System
A/D: Measurement Computing USB 2537 (This has all worked previously with the P300 speller.)

We Configured BCI2000 according to the User Manual.

First – Start BCI2000 by double-clicking batch/ CursorTask_SignalGenerator.bat.
Here is the content of this batch:
cd ..\prog
start operat.exe
start DASSource.exe 127.0.0.1
start ARSignalProcessing.exe 127.0.0.1
start CursorTask.exe 127.0.0.1
cd ..

Second – load parms/fragments/amplifiers/ GRASSplusMCUSB2537.prm (we have attached it for your review).

Third – push the Set Config button. Then the BCI2000 gives an error. Here is the system log and operator show us>
See attached screen-hardcopy file.

We have been trying to perform the Initial Mu Session experiment in Chapter “Obtaining Mu Rhythm Parameters in an Initial Session” within the User Tutorial.

My question is
1. whether we need the parameter file ( GRASSplusMCUSB2537.prm ) loaded to Obtain Mu Rhythm Parameters in an Initial Session?

2. What is causing the error above? Do I need to program or revise some parameter files? If we need to program the parameter file(s), which ones and what hardware information do we need to include in them?

Best regards

Hi,

it appears you are using a modified version of the DAS source module, so it's difficult for me to help you fix that problem. The error message means that the source module crashed due to a programming error. The messages in the BCI2000 operator window show a suspiciously high value for "BlockSIZE", which might be related to the cause of the crash. Also, try with the unmodified DAS source module, and see what happens.

Regards,
Juergen
