How can I plot topological map of P300

Post by Yalda Shahriari » 07 Dec 2011, 12:08

Hi,
I want to plot the topological map in offline analysis and I just have 16 channels. I didn't undrestand what I should cut and paste. Please explain more for me. I have an example.m file that has been written by you that in that m.file there is a command "topoplotEEG(vdiff,'eloc64.txt','gridscale',150)" that call eloc64.txt that in this txt file we have:
-68 0.3 Fc5.
-60 0.219 Fc3.
-42 0.14 Fc1.
0 0.101 Fcz.
42 0.14 Fc2.
60 0.219 Fc4.
68 0.3 Fc6.
-90 0.304 C5..
-90 0.203 C3..
-90 0.101 C1..
0 0 Cz..
90 0.101 C2..
90 0.203 C4..
90 0.304 C6..
-112 0.3 Cp5.
-120 0.219 Cp3.
-138 0.14 Cp1.
180 0.101 Cpz.
138 0.14 Cp2.
120 0.219 Cp4.
112 0.3 Cp6.
-18 0.406 Fp1.
0 0.406 Fpz.
18 0.406 Fp2.
-36 0.406 Af7.
-23 0.343 Af3.
0 0.304 Afz.
23 0.343 Af4.
36 0.406 Af8.
-54 0.406 F7..
-46 0.363 F5..
-35 0.275 F3..
-21 0.219 F1..
0 0.203 Fz..
21 0.219 F2..
35 0.275 F4..
46 0.363 F6..
54 0.406 F8..
-72 0.406 Ft7.
72 0.406 Ft8.
-90 0.406 T7..
90 0.406 T8..
-90 0.499 T9..
90 0.499 T10.
-108 0.406 Tp7.
108 0.406 Tp8.
-126 0.406 P7..
-134 0.343 P5..
-145 0.275 P3..
-159 0.219 P1..
180 0.181 Pz..
159 0.219 P2..
145 0.275 P4..
134 0.343 P6..
126 0.406 P8..
-144 0.406 Po7.
-157 0.343 Po3.
180 0.304 Poz.
157 0.343 Po4.
144 0.406 Po8.
-162 0.406 O1..
180 0.406 Oz..
162 0.406 O2..
180 0.499 Iz..
that shows the positions of the electrodes. In 16 channel positioning if I have for example Fz, F4, F5, Cz, C4, C5,...
what should I do to change?

Looking forward to your answer.

Yalda,
You just need to find, cut and paste the channels you are using from the eloc64.txt file, and place them in a new text filein the same order as your channels. I would save it in a new file called eloc16.txt, and use that in the topoplot call.
Let us know if you need more help.
