Re: Data Aqusitioin module for Smarting

I'm no expert on this, but that's up to the boost license , no? I don't see it being incompatible with BCI2000's license (GPLv3). Or were you asking more about keeping file sizes to a minimum if you want your module hosted and distributed via BCI2000's 'contributions'? I don't think that's a major c...

Re: BCI2000 compile/Build Error

Batch files are older. You can still use 64-bit OS but build for 32-bit. Actually this is supposed to be the default behaviour. First, try renaming your qt files to add the -amd64 bit. It MIGHT work. Second, try doing the make from cmake-gui, without using the build script. When you run CMAKE, I'd s...

Re: BCI2000 compile/Build Error

Yes, you do need Qt. You don't necessarily have to install it yourself though, because the BCI2000 make script can download it for you, as it seems to have done in your case. Check your BCI2000\build\download_cache\qt directory. I have had trouble in the past where it wouldn't finish the make proces...

Re: Error during BCI2000 setup

I'm not sure (I don't have Qt installed on this system) but aren't the binaries in something like C:/QT/Qt-4.8.6/bin?

You can try looking around the web for different FindQt.cmake ; I don't think there's anything special about the BCI2000 one.

Re: Mu Rythm using both hands (up) and feet (down)

First, for simplicity, I would recommend changing your output channel from 2 to 1. Then in the buffer conditions you can take the contents from column 2 and put them in column 1 then delete column 2. I think your intuition about changing the weights in your classifier filter is a good idea. The opti...

Re: P300 Signal Processing

I have a question about how BCI does signal processing. I have the impression that it hands off functions like FFT or FIR filtering to Matlab that must then be running in the background. Is this right? If I am wrong, then any explanation that will help me understand how I went wrong will be very he...

Try adding this line in Preflight:

Code: Select all

mSamplingRate = Parameter( "SamplingRate" );

Re: Missing LIB files. BCI2000 + Visual Studio

I'm not going to address your issues specifically, rather I think you should revert your src tree back to its original state and take a different approach. If you selected to build certain tools, then you should have a NewBCI2000Module.exe in your build directory. Follow these instructions for makin...

Re: Can not run CursorTask_SignalGenerator.bat

It sounds like you moved the .bat file to the wrong directory and/or you didn't download everything. What did you download and from where? (Please be detailed)

Re: Is it possible to import other file formats into Bci2000

I think I didn't explain things properly. I'm afraid I'm sending you down the wrong path. For the offline analysis that I did, I found the BCILAB documentation to be a little too verbose in theory and a little too sparse in practical application, and I found some parts where the documentation was ju...

Re: Is it possible to import other file formats into Bci2000

We're talking about importing other data formats. I suggested EEGLAB because it can import from multiple formats (including BCI2000) and then I added on BCILAB because it has some good tools for machine-learning analysis of neural data. These tools are much more flexible and powerful for offline ana...

Re: Is it possible to import other file formats into Bci2000

1) R^2 is the coefficient of determination? Yes, that's right. In OfflineAnalysis the R2 is calculated independently for each feature. It is generally up to the experimenter to decide which features to include in the online signal processing. Note that there are more advanced, and more automatic, w...

Re: Is it possible to import other file formats into Bci2000

The R^2 is the variance in trial class accounted for by spectral power. (Or vice versa: the variance in spectral power accounted for by trial class). I don't think EEGLAB has an R^2 output. However, EEGLAB can give you between-class statistics and these are directly relatable to R^2. Instead of gene...

Re: Is it possible to import other file formats into Bci2000

Yes, absolutely EEGLAB is much more powerful for offline analysis. Also look into "fieldtrip" and "brainstorm". A "toy" dat file means that it is not a "real" file created by BCI2000 during recording. I think it is possible to create a .dat file that will work with the OfflineAnalysis tools, but you...
