Rythm isolation before ICA ?

can rythm isolation ( mu and beta ) be done on EEG.data before running ICA and the resulting activation matrix ( obtained directly as a matrix in eeglab ) be used for feature extraction ? However , the following paper https://arxiv.org/ftp/arxiv/papers/1312/1312.2877.pdf has done it differently . It...

physionet dataset motor imagery EOG channel

the physionet data set for motor imagery is said to be using 64 channels for acquiring eeg data . I would like to know if all the channels correspond to the eeg data or the 64th channel is a EOG channel ? Thank you.

Latency 0 after epoch extraction ?

After I extract epochs relative to a certain event , the latencies are becoming 0 in EEGLAB ( which were cumulative values with the raw eeg file uploaded ). Why is it so ? Thank you

Projection matrix CSP

I have performed CSP on pre-processed EEG data and ended up with a complex projection matrix . Is it normal ? or have I gone wrong in the steps somewhere . If yes , could someone please let me know the possible reasons . Thank you.

spatial filtering of a .set file using CSP

Hi , I have performed epoch extraction in EEGLAB and saved it as a .set file . I am to compare spatial filtering done using ICA vs CSP. ICA could be directly done in EEGLAB , however , I am unable to figure out how to perform spatial filtering using CSP for a .set file . Could someone please guide ....

Target markers in BCILAB

After adding the channel location file for the data set ( obtained from physionet ) in eeglab , I manually changed the event type TargetCode to TargetCode_1 and TargetCode_2 corresponding to L and R movements respectively ( using edit > event values in eeglab ). However , after importing this result...

10-10 channel location file

The data set used in physionet.org says it used 10-10 international system and 64 electrodes . Could someone please provide the channel location file for the same ( EEGLAB and BCILAB don't have 64 or >64 electrodes for 10-10 system in their sample loc folders ). Thank you.

importing channel location file in BCILAB

We have a 64 channel data set . However , we are unable to explicitly import channel loc file in BCILAB . Will BCILAB inherently prune the 128 electrodes to 64 electrodes besides , looking for the best .elc file using : % go through a variety of caps and retain the best (i.e. largest) match caps = {...

Daniel dataset BCILAB

Does anyone have the documentation of the sample dataset(imag_movements1,imag_movements2) provided by BCILAB?
We are looking for proper explanation as to how the data-set was collected and of all the the variables included in the .dat file. (states, parameters, signal).
Thank you

Re: re : dataset in bcni-horizon-2020

Sir , we tried contacting Mr. Brunner with the email ID that was provided with the dataset , but the mail bounced . If there is a change in email ID , could you please let us know where we could find his current email address. Thank you.

re : dataset in bcni-horizon-2020

We wanted to use the dataset for two class motor imagery provided in bcni-horizon-2020 ( providing the link of the dataset below ) . We essentially need this for training a classifier , hence we would want the event types , annotations and the latencies . But this dataset seems to have everything ex...

Re: re : events of dataset for motor imagery provided in physionet.org

Thanks a lot for the reply . We were using wfdb toolbox to view the event types in .event files and then when we realized that the event types from .event were not matching with those in .edf ( which we saw in epoch extraction step of EEGlab ) . So , we initially thought that the discrepancy could b...
